The Bath County Public School Board is seeking a Superintendent to lead the school division in a student-centered academic program that focuses on the relationships between talented students and capable, caring teachers.
- Candidates must meet the legal requirements to be licensed or be eligible for licensure as a Superintendent in Virginia.
- Central office administration and school principal leadership experience are preferred.
- A doctorate degree or progress toward a doctorate degree is preferred.
- A successful candidate will be required to live in Bath County within one year of contract negotiations.
- Applications are due by 5pm on May 19, 2026.
The tentative timeline for the Superintendent Search is as follows:
- May 6 - May 19, 2026 - Advertisement and acceptance of applications for Superintendent
- May 19, 2026 - 6pm- Special School Board Meeting for received Superintendent applications and development of interview questions
- TBD - Superintendent interviews
- TBD - Special School Board Meeting for approval of Superintendent and announcement
