Perini Management Services Inc., a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking an experienced Superintendent and Quality Control Manager to join our Newfoundland Team.

Description:

As a Superintendent and Quality Control Manager at Perini Management Services, reporting to our Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:
  • Lead, schedule, coordinate and supervise the construction work, including supervision and of craft subcontractor/ employee activities.
  • Implement and manage the approved Contractor Quality Control Plan including responsibility for all required preparatory meetings, initial inspections and follow up inspections.
  • Plan and supervise Subcontractor and/or craft activities by determining method of construction, manpower levels, material quantities equipment, temporary power sources, work schedule and documenting actual hours worked.
  • Develop understanding/working knowledge of company quality control program, safety program, company standards, procedures, codes, etc. required to perform assigned work.
  • Maintain liaison with engineering, estimating, and planning to ensure work complies with drawings, specifications, and schedule.
  • Identify and assist in resolving construction problems such as lack of productivity, work interfaces, conflicts in drawings & site conditions, etc.
  • Monitor craft compliance with project Safety and Quality Control program requirements; document and ensure corrective measures are implemented.
  • Assist Project Management with the development of the Project Execution Schedule, site logistics, project procedures, standards, etc.
  • Monitor Schedule Progress Daily, Weekly, Monthly.
  • Develop 4 week look ahead schedules and review with construction team / Subcontractors weekly.
  • Manage, review, and control construction submittals and submittal schedule.
  • Perform quality control inspections, witness tests to determine acceptability of work, and schedule and coordinate QA inspectors with Owner's Rep.
  • Assist in maintaining work performance records, inspection records and other related items; assure correctness of all documents.
  • Assist in preparation/implementation of quality control procedures, i.e., inspection instructions, control measuring and test equipment, etc.
  • Participate in internal/external quality control and ensure progress by proactively address Q.C. issues.
  • Manages subcontractors to ensure compliance with OSHA, EM 385-1-1 and Perini's safety program.
  • Identifies and evaluates hazards, develops activity hazard analysis's, proactively develops solutions for project safety concerns.


Requirements:
  • 10 + years of combined construction experience as Project Manager, Superintendent, QC, Safety, Supervision, and/or Management Experience.
  • Experience on at least one project with a value of $25+ Million.
  • Minimum 2 years' experience as QC Manager.
  • Experience working on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.
  • USACE CQM certification required.
  • Familiarity with EM 385-1-1 required.
  • OSHA 30-hour for Construction required.
  • Temporary relocation to Newfoundland required.
  • 4-year degree, PE, EIT, a plus
