Project Engineer to join our Newfoundland Team.
Description:As a
Project Engineer at Perini Management Services, reporting to our
Project Manager you will have the opportunity to:
Project Planning & Coordination:- Collaborate with architects and engineers throughout all phases of construction, including pre-construction/design phases.
- Assist in developing project budgets, timelines, and procurement plans.
- Review and manage design documents for constructability and distribution to client & subcontractors.
Construction Management:- Assist with developing and maintaining the project schedule, including monthly updates, and progress tracking.
- Process change orders and manage scope changes between the client, subcontractors, and designers.
- Assist in securing vendors and subcontractors.
- Monitor costs and assist with budget management.
- Identify and mitigate project risks.
- Coordinate with the owner and security officers for base access and ensure proper clearance.
Construction Oversight:- Support and oversee day-to-day construction activities to ensure alignment with plans and specifications.
- Assist in monitoring worksite safety and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Assist in the coordination of subcontractors and vendors to ensure timely delivery and quality of materials and services.
Documentation & Reporting:- Documenting and Coordinating meetings, tracking actions, and decisions.
- Manage submittals and RFIs.
- Support QC inspections and ensure project quality standards are maintained.
Requirements:- Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management Related degree from an accredited institution, or equivalent competency achieved through relevant work experience.
- Work Experience as Construction Project Engineer or Project Manager.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency with Primavera P6, AutoCAD, and Procore
- Willing to travel and relocate near the project location.
- Experience working on US Federal Construction Projects, preferably with USACE or NAVFAC.
