Your Role

As Paper Machine Superintendent, you'll take on real challenges that bring out your full potential. Your scope includes:
  • Leading daily paper machine operations to achieve SQDEP performance targets (Safety, Quality, Delivery, Efficiency, People).
  • Drive execution of daily management systems, including structured shift handovers and production reviews.
  • Monitor performance, identify losses, and implement corrective actions and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Lead, coach, and develop frontline supervisors and hourly employees to build capability and accountability.
  • Champion a strong safety culture through visible leadership, audits, and incident investigations.
  • Partner closely with Maintenance and Quality teams to improve reliability and process performance.


What You Bring

You're a natural fit for Paper Machine Superintendent if you have:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred. Experience in lieu of a degree will be considered.
  • 5-8+ years of progressive experience in paper manufacturing or similar heavy industry
  • Proven leadership experience managing supervisors and/or production teams
  • Strong technical understanding of paper machine operations
  • Demonstrated ability to drive results and continuous improvement
  • Experience in a Production Supervisor role, Superintendent or Production Manager role preferred
