Responsibilities

Arcfield is seeking a Submarine Combat Systems Engineer, this position is in direct support of future AN/BYG-1 Combat Systems.
  • Perform tasking in support of full spectrum research, development, test and engineering for submarine combat systems and assoicated payloads.
  • Provide stakeholders with operational impact and perspective on proposed combat system requirements, missions, and CONOPs.
  • Draft whitepapers, system requirements, CONOPs, training guides, and other technical documentation in support of Future Naval Capabilites.
  • Participate in OPEX, Peer Review, COOPEX, and technical demonstration events.
  • Train peers and provide guidance to ensure team knowledge penetration.
  • Interface with fleet operators, Chief Engineers, Technical Project Managers, and Program Office liasons on project progress and technical direction.

Qualifications

  • Deployed FTOW (E-6 or above preferred) experience (SSN, SSGN, or SSBN)
  • Experience with submarine missile and torpedo systems and payloads
  • EUCOM or INDOPACOM operational experience
  • Experience in collaborative development environment
  • Possess and Maintain a Secret level clearance
  • BS and 5-7 years experience, MS and 3-5 years experience, or PhD and 0-2 years experience. Direct experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
