Job Description

In this role you will have an opportunity to support the munitions acceleration team (MAT) supply chain team overseeing the ramp to rate activities of the Precision Guidance and Sensing Solutions (PGSS).

In this role you will:
  • Drive and validate technical priorities and capacity assessments with strategic suppliers to meet BAE Systems long term production rates.
  • Manage the execution of subcontracts for funding of suppliers to ensure they can meet BAE Systems delivery rates.
  • Partner with Supply Chain Planning, General Procurement and Subcontracts to ensure the supply base is well prepared for increases in production rates.
  • Collaborate with production programs to ensure Munition Acceleration strategies remain aligned with production programs.
  • Participate and support Supply Chain Risk Management activities within the PGSS product line.
  • Support Dual sourcing activities remaining aligned to production programs long term strategies.

Required Skills and Education

  • Ability to travel approximately 25% of the time
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Operations Management
  • 6 years of experience in Supply Chain Planning, Subcontracts or Supply Chain Management

  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance


Preferred Skills and Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Engineering or Operations
  • Master's Degree in Engineering and/or Business Administration
  • Prior experience in Planning, General Procurement, & Subcontracts
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams Integrated Product Teams (IPTs)
  • Program Management Institute's (PMI) Program Management Professional (PMP) certification
  • Demonstrated Risk Management experience
  • Experience with information systems such as Oracle, TipQA, PLM, etc.
  • Knowledge of acquisition policies and procedures with associated knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR)
  • Strong organizational skills to handle many overlapping projects simultaneously
