THE WORK
The Army/Air Force Market Segment is seeking a Subcontract Manager to support key programs and strategic initiatives across the portfolio. This role will be responsible for leading efforts related to emerging obsolescence and Diminishing Manufacturing Sources and Material Shortages (DMSMS) challenges impacting the Sikorsky supply chain.
Responsibilities include:
Managing supplier development and execution activities supporting legacy Army and Air Force platforms
Leading efforts to identify, assess, and mitigate supply chain risks associated with obsolescence and DMSMS issues
Supporting sourcing, subcontract management, and supplier performance activities to ensure program commitments are achieved
Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and execute supply chain strategies that support affordability, schedule, and quality objectives
Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to drive successful program outcomes
Supporting multiple platforms across the Army and Air Force Market Segment, including UH-60M, HH-60M, HH-60W, S-70I, and S-70M programs
This position reports directly to the S-70 Direct Commercial Sales (DCS) team while providing support across the broader market segment as business needs require.

You excel at managing complex supplier challenges, balancing competing priorities, and driving results in a dynamic environment. You are proactive in identifying risks, developing mitigation strategies, and partnering across functions to support program success.
You bring experience in supply chain management, subcontract administration, supplier performance management, strategic sourcing, or related disciplines and have a passion for solving complex business challenges while supporting critical customer missions.
Basic Qualifications
Familiarity with obsolescence management and diminishing manufacturing sources (DMS)
Strong background in negotiating major subcontracts with complex and large suppliers.
Experience with US government subcontracts
Ability to travel up to 25%
Desired skills
Possess excellent communication skills, both written, verbal, and presentation, to effectively communicate business cases to all levels of peers, suppliers, as well as program and executive management
Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or Defense Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR), or Department of Defense Contracts (DOD)
Mission First Mindset focused on innovative solutions to complex problems.
Operates with a sense of urgency to accomplish task and goals.
Experience in negotiating contracts with intellectual property a plus.
Proficiently utilize SAP
Previous LM Supply Chain experience
Ability to work remotely
Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $77,700 - $136,965. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
Premium Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in most major metropolitan areas in California, Massachusetts, and New York is $89,300 - $154,905. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only.
