Job Description

We have an opening for aSubcontract Administration Support Section (SASS) Analyst. In this entry level role, you will support a variety of procurement and subcontracting administration activities with a primary focus on invoice payments and closeout activities for purchase orders and subcontracts in accordance with applicable policies and procedures. You will work in established policies and procedures while partnering with suppliers, internal departments, and customers. This position is in the Procurement Department in the Business Directorate and is well suited for a recent college graduate or early-career professional interested in developing a career in procurement.

This position may offer a hybrid schedule, which includes the flexibility to work from home one or moredays per week, after a probationary period. The specifics of the hybrid schedule, including the exact number of days required in the office and virtual work options may vary based on the needs of the team and the organization.

You will
  • Administer basic to low complexity purchase orders and subcontracts, primarily supporting invoice payment and closeout activities, from award to completion in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Serve as a point of contact to internal customers and suppliers on basic purchasing, invoicing, and closeout procedures with guidance and support as needed.
  • Maintain procurement file documentation for purchase orders and subcontracts to ensure completeness, accuracy, and compliance with established procedures.
  • Learn and apply established procurement policies, procedures, and processes to assigned work, and seek guidance on unusual or non-routine matters.
  • Support compliance with applicable procurement policies, procedures and business requirements.
  • Analyze routine data and available information to help identify issues, answer questions, and support resolution of day-to-day procurement and subcontract administration matters.Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Ability to secure and maintain a U.S. DOE Q-level security clearance which requires U.S. Citizenship.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field, or equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Foundational understanding of professional workplace practices, with the ability to learn procurement principles through training and on-the-job experience.
  • Ability to learn and apply procurement policies, procedures, and processes with guidance and support.
  • Basic knowledge of automated business tools and standard office software applications, and the ability to learn new systems and processes.Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills with the ability to identify and resolve routine issues using established policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills to work effectively both independently and in a team environment.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with suppliers and internal customers.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively use AI tools and technologies to improve work quality and productivity.

Qualifications We Desire
  • Coursework, internship, student employment, or other relevant experience in business, supply chain, procurement, purchasing, finance, operations, law, or a related field.
  • Familiarity with government procurement concepts like Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) or Department of Energy Acquisition Regulations (DEAR)

Pay Range

$79,920 - $97,848 Annually

This is the lowest to highest salary range in good faith we believe would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
