Job DescriptionAs a Principal Subcontracts Administrator (SCA), you will be responsible for end-to-end lifecycle management of subcontracts, from issuance of Request for Proposal (RFP) to subcontract closeout, consistently ensuring all activities are executed timely with precision and adherence to internal company policy and procedure as well as Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) where applicable. This role requires a proactive supply chain professional who operates beyond administrative compliance to continuously elevate the quality and health of the subcontracting process. The successful SCA will balance rigorous contract compliance with strategic supplier relationship management to ensure seamless delivery of goods and services.
The SCA will support a business area with over $1 billion in annual revenue and material spend for highly-specialized and complex goods and services based on program specific requirements and specifications. The SCA will prepare RFPs, lead negotiations (terms and conditions, pricing, etc.), maintain meticulous documentation for all procurement actions to ensure audit readiness, issue and maintain complex subcontracts of various contract types (firm fixed price, cost plus, etc.) through various phases of program execution (development, production, repair, etc.), and timely close out subcontracts. The SCA will collaborate cross functionally with program stakeholders by partnering with engineering, program management, quality, and finance to align subcontract requirements with program milestones and ensure the overall health of the supplier relationship. The SCA will interface with suppliers, leading/facilitating meetings and fostering professional and productive relationships to ensure conformance to subcontract requirements. The SCA will support critical government and commercial proposals, manage material sales receipts and approve invoices, support internal and external audits, and collaborate closely with subcontract program managers to ensure supplier performance success.

This is a hybrid role; however, fully remote work will be considered.

Required Skills and Education- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook)
- Typically a Bachelor's Degree and 6 years work experience or equivalent experience
- Demonstrated working knowledge of both government and commercial contracts
- Proficient in FAR/DFARS regulations and their application within defense and aerospace industry
- Proven ability to operate efficiently within a fast paced, high-volume environment
- Strong experience leading and managing entire procurement flow, from initial proposal to final closeout
Preferred Skills and Education- Bachelor's Degree in supply chain management or related discipline and 6 years or more of directly related work experience preferably in a government-contracting environment
- Working knowledge of Oracle ERP system
- Contracts / Legal background
