Sub-Jobber ManagerPurpose of the roleOur organization is seeking a Sub-Jobber Trade Manager responsible for spearheading our business growth objectives through the Sub-jobber Channel.
This role will be responsible for strategy, program development and achieving Sub-Jobber Channel selling targets, including distribution and sales volume goals. The Sub-Jobber Manager will oversee all business management responsibilities throughout targeted business partners by working cross-functionally with Trade Market, Retail and the Wholesale Departments. This role will work towards targeted business growth through KPI's.
This role involves regular travel throughout the state, with potentially a couple of overnight stays required, depending on the candidate's location.
Responsibilities- Evaluate market trends and competitive landscape to ensure JTI LIGGETT is competitive in the market and identify opportunities to enhance partnership and effectiveness of JTI LIGGETT's Sub-Jobber programs.
- Develop & manage Sub-Jobber account programs, expansion State programs & new product introductions.
- Effective utilization of data analytics to continuously seek ways to innovate and improve processes to drive efficiency and effectiveness in Sub-Jobber trade programs.
- Evaluate program performance and drive achievement of KPIs and delivery of objectives.
- Manage program administration through development of clear program guidelines, selling materials, tracking mechanisms and payment processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as marketing, operations, and finance to ensure seamless execution of business objectives and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements in all Sub-Jobber trade activities.
- Work with Wholesale Managers and Retail Team to gather input on programs, cultivate relationships with customers to build strong partnership, share learnings, and implement adjustments where needed.
- Identifying new business opportunities and potential clients to expand the Sub-Jobber trade network.
- Actively participate direct selling opportunities with the programs developed for the Sub-Jobbers to drive intended results for each program.
Requirements- BA/BS Degree required.
- 5+ years experience in sales management roles with strong capabilities of strategy and program development. Direct experience in working within the wholesale & tobacco trade, building effective programs that have delivered intended results.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and an understanding of success through the Sub-Jobber Channel.
- Strong business and financial acumen skills. Strong analytic skills. Proven track record in program development that delivered the desired KPIs. Adept at cross-function collaboration and effective use of persuasive communication. Ability to develop and present compelling business rationale. Detail orientation and solid organizational skills.
- Fluency in English (Oral and written).
- Ability to travel within the U.S. Market.
