Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen for the role of Study Manager to join our Minerals and Metals division at our Toronto or Burlington Office (hybrid).

As a Study Manager it is required to have a firm client focus, with the ability to relate to clients and respond to their requirements. The nature of our work requires both divergent and convergent thinking -combining innovative approaches while also meeting scope, budget, schedule

Study Managers support our overall business development efforts for creating and building a regional presence while leveraging off our extensive global process engineering experience and expertise.

The successful candidate will:
  • Lead mining project studies (from scoping to FS level) while ensuring safety, quality, timeliness, and fit for purpose
  • Work with engineering teams and subject matter experts in our Toronto offices and across our global offices to produce high-quality technical deliverables
  • Understand their client's needs and goals for the project and ensure that the project team is aligned with their expectations.
  • Lead regular reviews and audits of study timelines, budgets and resources to identify areas of concern and resolve issues.
  • Assist establishing project strategy and monitor critical path schedules and deliverables. Develop and maintain collaborative working relationships with management, clients, team members, and other key stakeholders.
  • Ensure that study and project risks are adequately addressed and communicated to clients and the Ausenco leadership team.
  • Manage the development of project capex models and financial models to support client project
  • Comply with all Ausenco minerals corporate policies and procedures by adopting Ausenco Quality Assurance and Occupational Health, Safety, and Environment policies, procedures and requirements
  • Lead the delivery of regulatory documentation such as NI 43-101 technical reports
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of the Studies Team to deliver best practice solutions

About you:
  • Relevant experience in the mining industry
  • Previously experience on a client/owner`s team or as a study manager, project manager, project engineer, engineering manager or lead engineer on several projects/studies
  • 12+ Experience in engineering or project management in engineering consulting
  • Excellent written, technical, and oral communications skills
  • High level of proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated leadership and management skills.
  • Willingness to travel when required

Salary range: $145,000-$195,000
