Job Summary:

DWS is seeking a Structured Finance Analyst to support the research, analysis, and ongoing surveillance of commercial mortgage-backed securities (CMBS) and residential mortgage-backed securities (RMBS). This position is in the Structured Finance Team, a key part of DWS Americas investment division. The team covers a wide range of products, including open-end mutual funds, institutional and retail separately managed accounts. The Structured Finance Team is seeking a candidate to join the team based in New York.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • The candidate will assist team members in evaluating both new issue transactions and surveilling existing portfolio holdings across RMBS and CMBS

  • Formulate high conviction investment recommendations based on relative value, factoring in various account risk tolerances

  • Reviewing offering memoranda (interpreting interpret legal and structural provisions)

  • Underwriting collateral (including property-level cash flows, DSCR, LTV, and sponsor quality),

  • Building and maintaining cash flow models to assess structure and credit.

  • Lead efforts to maintain data integrity within various portfolio management and trading systems

Your Skills and Experience:

  • Preferred candidates will have prior experience at a rating agency or buy-side investment firm with proven expertise in Mortgage Backed Securities (MBS) including CMBS and/or RMBS

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Highly proficient with Excel and industry-standard tools such as Intex, Trepp, and Bloomberg

  • Have a keen sense of integrity and fiduciary responsibility; be client focused and a strong team player

  • Strong written and oral communication skills.

  • Proven ability to leverage AI tools to enhance productivity, optimize workflows to solve business problems, while applying critical judgment to ensure responsible and ethical use of data and AI outputs.

The salary range for this position in New York is $133,000 to $206,000. Actual salaries may be based on a number of factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s skill set, experience, education, work location and other qualifications. Posted salary ranges do not include incentive compensation or any other type of renumeration.
