Full Job Description
En tant qu'ingénieur en structure/construction (Québec et Ontario), vous devrez :

  • Préparer des plans de conceptions, d'analyses, de calculs, etc., conformément aux codes, aux normes dans les domaines de l'optimisation structurale, du coffrage, des structures temporaires, et de grue etc.


  • Préparer des conceptions préliminaires et des estimations de coûts dans le but d'aider le service de pré-construction dans le cadre des propositions d'offres.


  • Développer des méthodologies de construction créatives pour aider à gagner et à exécuter des projets.


  • Fournir un soutien opérationnel pour organiser des réunions de planification et de démarrage, inspecter le travail sur le site, transférer les informations relatives aux soumissions d'ingénierie et de logistique à l'équipe de projet, et évaluer efficacement l'avancement du projet et assurer la sécurité.


  • Prendre en charge les projets en cours et accompagner les équipes dans le but de minimiser les risques sur les projets actuels et futurs et de tirer les leçons acquises et mettre en places les meilleures pratiques.


  • Agir en tant que personne-ressource pour résoudre les problèmes techniques.

  • Les exigences en matière de formation et d'expérience dans l'industrie sont les suivantes : diplôme d'ingénieur en génie civil ou structurel et de 4 à 10 ans d'expérience dans l'industrie.


  • Vous devez être un ingénieur professionnel et être autorisé à travailler au Québec et en Ontario ou dans d'autres juridictions au Canada.


  • Maîtrise du français et de l'anglais.


  • Membre en de l'ordre des ingénieurs du Québec et de l'Ontario


  • Expérience dans la conception et l'analyse en génie / structure


  • Connaissance des règlements de base en matière de sécurité sur les chantiers au Québec et en Ontario.


  • Connaissance de la conception de structures temporaires pour les secteurs de la construction institutionnelle, commerciale, industrielle et civile.

As a Structural/Construction Engineer (Quebec and Ontario), you will:

  • Preparing design plans, analyses, calculations, etc., in accordance with codes and standards in the areas of structural optimization, formwork, temporary structures, cranes, etc.


  • Preparing preliminary designs and cost estimates to assist the pre-construction department with bid proposals.


  • Developing creative construction methodologies to help win and execute projects.


  • Providing operational support by organizing planning and kick-off meetings, inspecting work on site, transferring engineering and logistics bid information to the project team, and effectively assessing project progress and ensuring safety.


  • Taking ownership of ongoing projects and supporting teams to minimize risks on current and future projects, learn from past experiences, and implement best practices.


  • Act as a resource person to resolve technical issues.


Is this role right for you?

  • The education and industry experience requirements are: a degree in civil or structural engineering and 4 to 10 years of industry experience.


  • You must be a professional engineer and authorized to work in Quebec and Ontario or other jurisdictions in Canada.


  • Fluency in French and English.


  • Member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec (OIQ) and Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) in Ontario.


  • Experience in engineering/structural design and analysis.


  • Knowledge of basic construction site safety regulations in Quebec and Ontario.


  • Knowledge of the design of temporary structures for the institutional, commercial, industrial, and civil construction sectors.


  • Experience in the structural analysis of steel, wood, aluminum, or concrete.


  • Ability to meet deadlines while managing multiple and competing priorities.
