Full Job Description
The Role

The Project Engineer is responsible for assisting the Project Manager with design and analysis of structures or structural elements, providing contract administrative duties associated with the project, routine correspondence, field dimensioning, and meeting project schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the development, preparation, and finalization of project documents.
  • Responsible for contract administration duties, such as responding to RFI's, and checking shop drawings / submittals.
  • Designs load-bearing structures or structural elements.
  • Performs analysis of building materials for use in construction.
  • Develops plans and specifications for use during construction and ensures all projects comply with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Determines cause of structural failures, damages, and defects through site investigations.
  • Provides reports detailing investigations and assessment of damages to the structure.
  • Demonstrates commitment to deliver outstanding service - both with design team and external clients
  • Takes ownership to personally resolve problems (or find someone who can)
  • Listens well, asks clarifying questions, and checks for agreement with team and client
  • Committed to following up with clients in all instances in a timely manner
  • Strong sense of accountability - ensures that you will do what you say that you are going to do
  • Creates a personal connection - friendly and respectful


Qualifications

  • Understands jobsite environment and reviews jobsite progress with little to no supervision
  • Ability to lead an assignment/special project from start to finish
