Description

This position specializes in structural engineering, you'll analyze building structures, and/or bridge performance related to structural elements and site conditions for new construction projects. You'll review contractors' work, prepare design packages, and develop documentation that communicates complex technical concepts clearly and effectively.
Responsibilities:
  • Perform structural analysis, design and detailing for diverse structure types using various building codes
  • Coordinate design work with in-house staff and other design professionals including Contractors, Architects and Engineers
  • Prepare construction documents within a Building Information Modeling (BIM) environment
  • Develop precise design specifications and calculations for active projects
  • Create technical reports with clear structure and language that clients can easily understand
  • Support project management by maintaining schedules, processing change orders, and monitoring budgets
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned
Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited university.
  • 3-6 Years of relevant experience in structural analysis and design
  • Understanding of processes, compliance, and other design consulting and construction professionals
Required Competencies:
  • Understanding of standard construction practices and ability to collaborate with contractors to resolve construction issues
  • Strong verbal and written communications skills
  • Detail oriented with excellent teamwork and interpersonal abilities

Required Skills

Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's degree strongly preferred)
Proven experience (0-5 years) in structural engineering design, calculations, drawings, and analysis in a consulting / design office environment
Advanced proficiency with structural analysis and design software
Experience with Revit or similar modeling software is highly desirable
Strong technical writing skills (reports, memos, calculations)
Excellent verbal and written communication, and ability to collaborate across disciplines
Self-driven, detail-oriented, organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks under deadlines
Willingness to travel to job sites (as needed)
