The Opportunity

KPFF is seeking a Structural Engineering Team Leader to help grow our presence in Madison, WI. With an initial foundation already in place, this role offers the rare opportunity to shape the future of a growing office, build strong community relationships, and help create a thriving local team, all with the support, resources, and technical depth of a firm with national reach.

You'll help establish KPFF as a trusted engineering partner in the Madison market by working with your current connections and establishing new client relationships, mentoring future team members, and helping shape projects that strengthen the local community. At the same time, you'll collaborate with talented engineers nationwide on technically challenging and high-profile projects.

This role combines the entrepreneurial energy of building something from the ground up with the stability, mentorship, and collaboration of an established, employee-owned firm. Qualifications

Professional Background

To be successful in this role, you will bring:
  • Possession of a Professional Engineer (PE) license is required. Structural Engineer (SE) license preferred
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (Masters preferred) OR Bachelor's Degree in Architectural Engineering
  • Has a personal brand in the A/E/C community and wants to leverage this to create something special, scalable, and perpetual.
  • 10+ years of progressive structural engineering experience
  • Have demonstrated laudable management experience leading teams larger than 5 people
  • Design experience across a wide range of materials, project phases, and sectors
  • A collaborative leadership style with a passion for mentoring and growth
