Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the Missouri Structural team
  • Build and maintain relationships with DOT and local agency clients
  • Utilize expert knowledge in bridge and transportation structures design
  • Manage DOT and local agency bridge design projects
  • Oversee complex projects or multiple major projects
  • Ensure project document quality and conformity
  • Act as a technical advisor to senior management and staff
  • Prepare project scopes, budgets, and schedules
  • Draft proposals and funding applications
  • Engage in various other projects and responsibilities as needed.

Full Job Description
We are looking for a talented Structural Engineering professional to assist with the growth and leadership of our Structural Engineering team in Missouri. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing firm that places a strong emphasis on fostering a positive workplace culture. The position can be based in St. Louis, St. Charles, or Kansas City.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a Professional Engineer with extensive structural engineering and project management experience working on DOT and/or local agency transportation design projects. We are looking for a structural engineering leader who is passionate about contributing to a thriving work environment, growing and developing a high-performing team, assisting with the growth of our service line, and making a positive impact on the communities we serve.

In this position, the candidate will:

  • Play a key role in the growth, leadership, and development of the Missouri Structural team.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with DOT and local agency clients, assisting with business development for the Structural Engineering service line.
  • Apply extensive knowledge of principles and practices in broad areas of bridge and transportation structures design.
  • Perform as a project manager on DOT and local agency bridge design projects.
  • Work on major projects or several major projects of moderate scope with complex features.
  • Review complete project documents for conformity and quality assurance.
  • Assist senior management and staff as a technical specialist or advisor.
  • Prepare scopes of work, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
  • Prepare proposals and funding applications.
  • As opportunities present themselves this role may also be involved in other various projects and responsibilities.


Qualifications for this role:

  • Experience with project management and accounting software
