Structural Engineer

Location: Newport Beach, CA
Salary: $100,000 - $150,000/year
What You'll Do
  • Lead structural engineering design and project management for building infrastructure projects.
  • Design new structures using concrete, CMU, steel, wood, metal studs, and mass timber.
  • Perform seismic evaluations, upgrades, and retrofit analyses using advanced modeling tools.
  • Develop adaptive reuse strategies for existing structures.
  • Prepare structural drawings, specifications, reports, and contract documents.
  • Provide construction administration support through site visits and quality assessments.
  • Manage client relationships and serve as a key project contact.
  • Mentor junior engineers and drafters.
  • Support project execution to ensure work is delivered on schedule, within budget, and meets quality standards.
  • Participate in office initiatives, marketing efforts, and team growth discussions.
What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering (or foreign equivalent).
  • 5-10 years of structural engineering experience.
  • California PE or SE license required.
  • Experience with structural design, seismic evaluation, and project management.
  • Proficiency with structural analysis and design software such as RISA, EnerCalc, SAFE, SpColumn, ETABS, or SAP2000.
  • Knowledge of building codes and standards including CBC, CEBC, ASCE 7/41, ACI, AISC, NDS, and TMS.
