Full Job Description
Your Role

As a Structural Engineer in our Forensics Practice, you will investigate structural performance issues, conduct failure analyses, and evaluate damage resulting from events such as storms, impacts, construction defects, or material degradation. You'll contribute to technical investigations, expert reporting, litigation support, and remediation design, gaining foundational skills in the forensic process. With support from your team, you will work on projects in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment, ideal for engineers eager to grow their technical and creative skills. This is a full-time position starting Winter 2027.

What You'll Do

  • Conduct structural analysis and diagnostic evaluations for damaged or distressed structures.
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports and visual documentation for technical and legal audiences.
  • Participate in site inspections and field investigations, including evidence collection.

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering; Master's or PhD preferred.
  • Familiarity with forensic investigation techniques and structural analysis tools such as SAP2000, ETABS, RAM, RISA-3D, PCA software, Revit, or AutoCAD.
  • Strong communication skills, a collaborative mindset, and a genuine eagerness to learn, ask questions, and grow through feedback.
  • A detail-oriented approach with the ability to apply fundamental engineering concepts and check your work with care and curiosity.


Compensation
The rate for this position generally is $77,000 - $90,000 annually. This range is a good faith estimate provided pursuant to the New York Pay Transparency Law. It is based on what a successful New York applicant might be paid and assumes that the successful candidate will be in New York or perform the position from New York. Similar positions located outside of New York will not necessarily receive the same compensation. Actual pay rates may vary from the range, as permitted by New York Equal Pay Transparency Law. Compensation offers will be based on various factors, including operational needs, individual education, qualifications and experience, work location and comparison to employee already in the role, as well as other considerations permitted by law. A potential new employee's pay history will not be used in compensation decisions.
