Your Opportunity

Stantec is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the planning, design, and delivery of large-scale, technically advanced facilities. You will be a key contributor to projects that demand rigorous design standards, seismic compliance, and coordination with process-intensive environments. This is an exciting opportunity to work on state-of-the-art cleanrooms, research labs, data centers, and industrial production facilities.

Your Key Responsibilities
  • Perform structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, and masonry structures for high-tech facilities.
  • Develop structural calculations, design packages, construction documents, and technical specifications.
  • Support all phases of project execution-from programming and schematic design to construction documents and construction administration.
  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including architects, mechanical, electrical, and process engineers.
  • Ensure designs are code-compliant (IBC, ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, etc.) and meet industry and client-specific standards.
  • Conduct site investigations and field assessments to support design and troubleshooting.
  • Review submittals and RFIs; participate in construction oversight and project close-out.
  • Engage with clients and project stakeholders to incorporate feedback and ensure structural integrity meets operational needs.


Qualifications

Your Capabilities and Credentials
  • Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) license is preferred.
  • Proficiency in structural analysis and modeling software (e.g., RISA, ETABS, SAP2000, Revit, AutoCAD).

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (Master's preferred).
  • 5 years of experience in structural engineering design and coordination.
  • Professional Engineer or Structural Engineer license required.

Typical office environment working with computers and remaining sedentary for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to the elements including inclement weather.

About the Team

Pay Transparency: In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Benefits Summary: Regular full-time and part-time employees (working at least 20 hours per week) have access to medical, dental, and vision plans, a wellness program, health saving accounts, flexible spending accounts, 401(k) plan, employee stock purchase program, life and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) insurance, short-term/long-term disability plans, emergency travel benefits, tuition reimbursement, professional membership fee coverage and paid family leave. Regular full-time and part-time employees will receive ten paid holidays in each calendar year. In addition, employees will be eligible to accrue vacation between 10 and 20 days per year and eligible for paid sick leave (and if more generous, in accordance with state and local law).

Temporary/casual employees have access to 401(k) plans, employee stock purchase program, and paid leave, in accordance with state and local law.
