Full Job Description
Our team in Canada is growing, we are currently recruiting for a Structural EIT to join our Industrial and Infrastructure Business line in the Burnaby office.

About the role

We are seeking energetic and enthusiastic people to:
  • Design structures and structural modifications from foundations to structural supports, mainly steel and concrete design, for electrical infrastructure projects.
  • Deliver engineering in line with project requirements and Ausenco's engineering standards.
  • Support of engineering proposals, staying within the assigned budget and report any discrepancies.
  • Complete tasks under the direct supervision of a Senior Engineer ensuring that objectives of cost, quality and time are met
  • Prepare civil, structural, architectural deliverables in a multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Prepare civil, structural calculations in accordance with codes, client specifications and standards.

About you
  • 1 to 3 years' Structural engineering experience with an engineering consulting firm working on industrial and/or infrastructure projects.
  • A relevant Engineering degree (Structural) and eligible to register with professional engineering association(s). Provide expected date when candidate is expected to receive professional status.
  • Knowledge of the Engineering standard design codes such as CSA, ASTM.
  • Proficient with AutoCAD, MSOffice, Excel; experience with Revit will be beneficial.
  • Knowledge of structural design and engineering as applicable in the industrial, and infrastructure industries.
  • Ability in designing work and coordinating with other disciplines.
  • Familiarity with structural design software is required, as well as understanding of industry codes and regulations.
  • Good communication skills including report and proposal writing are essential
  • Experience working at project sites will be beneficial
  • BC Hydro experience is an asset.

Salary range: $74,000-$88,000
