The OpportunitySenior Bridge Engineer
RS&H is seeking an experienced Senior Bridge Engineer to join our bridge/structural team. In this role, you will serve as a leader and trusted subject matter experts, contributing to the successful delivery of complex bridge and transportation infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for leading design efforts, ensuring technical excellence, mentoring team members, and supporting project delivery from planning through construction.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a project lead on bridge and structural transportation projects
- Plan, design, analyze, and deliver structural bridge solutions that meet client objectives, project requirements, and applicable industry standards
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and oversight to junior engineers and support staff
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure effective project delivery and compliance with contractual requirements
- Support the development and implementation of new processes, standards, and best practices that enhance project quality and operational efficiency
- Manage small discipline teams, multidisciplinary project teams, and/or direct reports
What You'll Need to Be Successful
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program and 10+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Colorado
- Experience working with CDOT, local cities, and counties preferred
- Demonstrated experience contributing to major infrastructure projects or leading multiple moderate-sized projects through design and delivery
- Proven ability to provide technical leadership, mentor junior staff, and review engineering work for technical accuracy and quality
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to navigate complex or potentially sensitive technical and business challenges in a professional manner
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, contractors, project partners, and internal teams
- Ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines while balancing multiple priorities and project commitments
Compensation
The typical salary range for this position in Denver is $138,000 to $168,000 with compensation commensurate with experience, qualifications, and geographic location.
