Position Title: Strategy & Operations Associate Reporting To: Managing Director, Strategy & Operations

Job SummaryThe Strategy & Operations Associate will work directly with the Managing Director of Strategy & Operations to plan, support, and direct all activities that the team is involved in. As part of this role, the Strategy & Operations Associate will work alongside other members of the Strategy & Operations team, as well as with senior members of the TDP team and senior members of our executive teams to support TDP's investment thesis and investments. This role requires a blend of strategic work, operational expertise, analytical acumen, and the ability to work effectively across teams.
Job Responsibilities include:- Work directly with Managing Director of Strategy & Operations and other team members to support key portfolio company initiatives, administrative activities, and to engage with leaders within TDP and across portfolio companies
- Support ongoing CEO and Board projects within existing TDP portfolio companies
- Help identify, plan for, and execute on future opportunities for growth and operational improvement across TDP portfolio companies
- Enhance select TDP processes by creating, sharing, and maintaining operational standards
- Drive performance improvement within portfolio companies via analytical, technological, or operational upgrades
- Contribute to TDP's overall strategy by supporting market research and investment thesis analysis
- Manage key pieces of internal infrastructure to further develop firm knowledge base and learning materials
- Support broader Resource Partner team on key data and analytics activities
Required Qualifications- Bachelors degree with 2 - 5 years of experience in strategy and/or operations consulting
- High degree of integrity and strong moral compass
- Ability to represent TDP and its portfolio companies well
- Excellent team player with a track record for building deep relationships and collaborating across teams
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with the initiative to work independently
- Strong organizational skills with a creative, problem solving mindset
- Highly detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines with a sense of urgency
- Ability to efficiently handle a variety of confidential information
- Strong analytical skillset, outstanding oral and written communication skills
- Located in (or ability to re-locate to) the greater Chicago area
Compensation: Highly competitive compensation consisting of base salary and performance bonus
