Position Summary

The Strategy and Growth Program Manager owns and advance long-term growth categories, set strategy, and execute with a high degree of autonomy. This position will work closely with physician leadership and executive stakeholders to identify opportunities, prioritize initiatives, and drive measurable impact across the organization.

This role is centered on continuous growth and optimization. Each area of responsibility represents an ongoing opportunity to improve performance, efficiency, and patient outcomes.

Leadership will provide strategic direction and high-level priorities; this role owns the execution, refinement, and long-term success of each initiative.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

The key duties and responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

Strategic Growth Leadership
  • Own and drive performance across seven strategic growth pillars
  • Assess operational landscape, identify opportunities, and prioritize high-impact initiatives
  • Develop and execute strategies aligned with organizational growth goals
  • Monitor performance metrics and continuously refine approach

Growth Pillar Ownership

HSC/ASC Optimization - HOPD Migration (Critical Priority)
  • Lead migration of eligible surgical cases from hospital outpatient departments to ASC
  • Optimize surgical volume, efficiency, and financial performance
  • Expand outpatient capabilities (e.g., spine, revision joints)
  • Improve scheduling, turnover times, and resource utilization
  • Reduce late cancellations through enhanced pre-operative processes
  • Evaluate facility expansion and additional capacity opportunities

Bundled Cash-Pay Program & Canadian Patient Outreach
  • Launch and manage bundled pricing programs for orthopaedic procedures
  • Develop and grow a Canadian patient referral pipeline
  • Establish partnerships with referral networks and medical tourism entities
  • Build scalable intake-to-surgery workflows for international patients
  • Track program performance, revenue, and patient satisfaction

Physician Outreach & Market Development
  • Build and maintain referral relationships with external providers and organizations
  • Support onboarding of new physicians through structured outreach efforts
  • Expand presence in key and underserved markets
  • Collaborate on physician recruitment strategy
  • Strengthen internal referral pathways across the Proliance network

Service Line Growth (PT / MRI)
  • Increase MRI and physical therapy referral volume
  • Improve integration across service lines to enhance continuity of care
  • Identify and develop new ancillary service opportunities

Patient Experience & Digital Strategy
  • Evaluate and improve the end-to-end patient journey
  • Optimize digital touchpoints (scheduling, communication, patient portals)
  • Develop and monitor patient experience standards and satisfaction metrics


Trauma Program Development
  • Expand trauma referral volume from regional partners
  • Increase outpatient trauma case utilization
  • Support development of coordinated trauma programs with hospital partners


PA Optimization
  • Evaluate and improve physician assistant utilization and workflows
  • Enhance care team efficiency and alignment
  • Support top-of-scope practice for PAs


Education/Experience

Required
  • 5+ years of experience in Orthopaedic operations, hospital operations, or ASC management
  • Strong understanding of surgical workflows (total joints, spine, and/or trauma)
  • Proven ability to lead and scale operational programs
  • Highly self-directed with ability to execute independently
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
  • Proficiency with EMR systems, scheduling platforms, and standard business tools
  • Ability to work in a hybrid environment (2-3 days on-site across locations)

Preferred
  • Experience with physician outreach and referral development
  • Knowledge of ASC operations, contracting, and reimbursement models
  • Experience with cash-pay programs or international patient coordination
  • Clinical background (e.g., PT, nursing, or allied health)
  • Familiarity with the Pacific Northwest Orthopaedic market
  • Trauma program development experience
