About the role:The Strategic Sourcing Specialist plays a key role in supporting and executing sourcing strategies that optimize total cost, improve supplier performance, mitigate supply risk, and support business growth within the Packaging category. Partnering with cross-functional teams and divisional stakeholders, this role manages supplier relationships, executes sourcing initiatives, and drive value across the supply chain, while working independently to lead supplier-facing activities, manage sourcing projects, and contribute to strategic business objectives through data-driven decision making, risk management, and supplier performance improvement.

Your responsibilities will include:- Analyzing market intelligence, supplier capabilities, industry trends, and category data to influence sourcing strategies and supplier decisions
- Supporting sourcing strategy development and implementation through market analysis, supplier assessments, risk evaluations, and executing category initiatives; maintain knowledge of qualified suppliers to support segmentation and sourcing activities
- Managing supplier relationships through business reviews, scorecards, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives to improve performance
- Using SAP, Tableau, Excel, and other analytical tools to analyze spend, cost, and supplier performance; support AOP activities, supplier cost reviews, and financial planning processes
- Leading negotiations and identifying opportunities for cost reduction, consolidation, and value improvement
- Managing supplier agreements (e.g. CDAs, SQAs and SAAs and support MSAs and other commercial agreements
- Leading sourcing projects and coordinating, timelines and deliverables
- Presenting supplier performance updates, sourcing recommendations, and risk assessments
- Identify and communicate supplier-related risks and support mitigation and continuity plans.
Required qualifications- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain, engineering or finance-related discipline
- 2 years of professional experience in sourcing or procurement and supplier management or supply chain operations
- Experience supporting supplier negotiations and commercial agreements
- Experience conducting spend analysis, market analysis, supplier performance evaluations, and cost modeling
- Experience managing multiple projects and cross-functional stakeholders
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to travel up to 20% globally
Preferred qualifications- Professional certification such as CPSM, CPIM, CSCP, PMP, or Lean Six Sigma
- Experience in packaging components or direct materials
- Experience working in medical device or similarly regulated industry
- Experience supporting sourcing strategy development and supplier risk management
- Knowledge of agreements that cover supply, confidentiality, and supplier quality
- Experience using SAP, Tableau
- Knowledge of COGS, TCO, PPV, inventory management, and supplier cost drivers
