Full Job Description
Responsible for leading sourcing initiatives across the region and drive long-term value creation through supplier strategy, market intelligence, and data-driven decision making. Goes beyond transactional procurement and operates as a strategic business partner, developing multi-year sourcing strategies, evaluating complex supply markets, and identifying opportunities to improve cost competitiveness, supply chain resilience, and operational performance.
Major Tasks, Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities
• Develop and implement regional sourcing strategies that align with business objectives and long-term growth, including building and managing supplier relationships that support quality, innovation, and cost goals.
• Lead supplier segmentation, rationalization, and strategic partnerships while maintaining multi-year category strategies that account for market conditions and business needs.
• Drive supplier development and continuous improvement initiatives to enhance performance and competitiveness.
• Build and manage strategic supplier relationships globally, leading commercial negotiations that drive long-term value and sustainable partnerships.
• Establish performance management frameworks and collaborate with suppliers to deliver innovation, productivity gains, and risk reduction.
• Conduct detailed spend analysis and cost modeling to inform sourcing decisions, leveraging a deep understanding of cost drivers, supply chain impacts, and business needs.
• Develop business cases and scenario analyses for sourcing changes and network optimization while tracking performance metrics, savings, and cost avoidance. Provide data-driven insights to support executive decision-making.
• Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Finance, Engineering, Product Management, Logistics, and Sales to align sourcing strategies with overall business objectives. Support new product development and lifecycle initiatives while influencing stakeholders through data-driven insights and recommendations.
• Monitor global market trends, commodity movements, geopolitical developments, trade regulations, and supply chain risks to inform sourcing strategies.
• Leverage trade intelligence platforms and supply chain mapping tools to analyze supplier networks, import/export data, and competitive dynamics for actionable insights.
• Develop proactive strategies to mitigate disruptions, capitalize on emerging opportunities, and provide regular market intelligence and recommendations to leadership.
• Assess and mitigate supplier, geopolitical, logistics, and operational risks by developing contingency plans, enhancing sourcing strategies, and supporting business continuity through supplier diversification and ongoing risk monitoring.

• Manages a group or team of professional individual contributors and/or indirectly supervises support staff.
Work Environment
• Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.
• Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
• Typically requires overnight travel 5% to 20% of the time.
Education and Experience
• Typically requires BS/BA in a related discipline. Generally 7+ years of experience in a related field. May require certification. Advanced degree may offset less experience in some disciplines.
Preferred Qualifications
• MBA or advanced degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Finance, Engineering, Economics, or a related field.
• Experience in manufacturing, industrial products, consumer goods, or global sourcing environments.
• Experience utilizing global trade intelligence platforms, import/export databases, and supply chain visibility tools.
• Knowledge of international trade, logistics, tariffs, and supplier development.
• Strong analytical and financial acumen with the ability to interpret complex data and market information.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel and experience with data visualization and analytics tools.
• Demonstrated success developing and executing strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
This is a hybrid position. Eligible candidates residing in the greater Atlanta area will be asked to work two days a week in our Doraville, GA Field Support Center.
