The Strategic Sourcing Manager builds and cultivates PetIQ's network of ingredient, component, and co-packer suppliers, positioning PetIQ as a preferred partner and the first company suppliers think of when new products, capabilities, or opportunities emerge.
Reporting to the Head of Innovation, this role sits at the front end of PetIQ's innovation pipeline and works closely with the Innovation Manager to align external sourcing opportunities with concept development.
The Strategic Sourcing Manager proactively identifies and surfaces new products, technologies, ingredients, capabilities, and supplier opportunities; provides early input on feasibility, capabilities, costs, and sourcing considerations; and helps evaluate and qualify opportunities for potential commercialization.
Once an opportunity and supplier are validated and ready to move forward, the Strategic Sourcing Manager coordinates a clear handoff to the Supply Chain team for production-scale sourcing and execution, ensuring continuity from early-stage innovation through commercialization.
