Position Summary The Strategic Sourcing Manager will coordinate the activities of personnel engaged in purchasing and distributing materials, equipment, and supplies within the organization. This individual will plan, organize, direct, and control activities related to the procurement functions with Mountain Operations, Food & Beverage, Hospitality and associated ancillary businesses. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing.
The salary range for this position is $90,000 - 120,000. Actual pay will be dependent on budget and experience; all our salaried roles are eligible for bonus.

Essential Job Functions/Key Job Responsibilities - Create department systems and procedures in assigned areas of responsibility
- Analyzes market and delivery conditions to determine present and future material availability, and prepares market analysis reports relative to the assigned departments
- Evaluates vendor quotations that utilizes appropriate negotiation and purchasing techniques to ensure quality, price, delivery, and service
- Helps to design, implement, manage, and monitor procurement reporting systems to meet company requirements in the assigned areas of responsibility
- Recruits and maintains suppliers that provide high quality products and services at a better price while maintaining the highest code of ethics and conduct
- Prepares and issues purchase orders and change notices
- Works with the Sr Director of Procurement to review purchase order claims and contracts for conformance to company policy
- Works with the Sr Director of Procurement to prepare and review contracts, bids, proposals, and vendor agreements for legal correctness, price, and acceptability of items to specifications
- Negotiates or supervises the negotiation of complex requests for equipment, supplies, and services from suppliers and subcontractors for Mountain Operations and ancillary businesses
- Other duties as assigned
QualificationsEducation & Experience Requirements- Bachelor's Degree in Procurement or related field
- Five years' experience in Procurement or related experience
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities - Proficient in Microsoft Office, Purchasing software, and any inventory software
- Proficient knowledge in developing and executing business strategies that align with the company's long-term goals
- Proficient knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and managing financial performance
- Proficiency in leading and managing organizational change
- Skills in managing relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to work effectively with different departments to achieve business objectives
- Strong ability to negotiate contracts, partnerships, and agreements that benefit the organization
- Proven ability to lead, develop, and mentor teams and individuals to drive performance, engagement, and professional growth
- Ability to think long-term and formulate strategies to drive the business forward
- Ability to earn trust and respect from project stakeholders and influence decisions that need to be made to make the project successful
Additional InformationWork Environment & Physical Demands - Ability to stand, walk or be on your feet for extended periods of time. Kneeling and bending may be required
- Regularly work indoors with no adverse conditions. Some positions require exposure to outdoor elements or a combination of both indoors and outdoors and may be required to walk on slippery and uneven surfaces
- Must be able to occasionally lift, push or pull up to 50 lbs. individually or with assistance (weight limits can vary according to position, but no more than 50)
