Responsibilities

  • Execute and optimize U.S. reimbursement strategies for product and therapy areas.
  • Provide reimbursement and health policy guidance to product development teams.
  • Partner with HEOR to assess global evidence needs and support payer-relevant data development.
  • Analyze reimbursement landscapes and contribute to coding, coverage, and payment pathways.
  • Educate internal leaders and field teams on reimbursement requirements and impact.
  • Build and maintain relationships with payers, government agencies, and advocacy groups.
  • Identify reimbursement barriers and support initiatives to improve market access.
  • Design and deliver reimbursement education for stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS PERFORMED

1. Executes and optimizes US reimbursement strategies that support business objectives across prioritized product and therapy areas.

2. Provides reimbursement and health policy guidance to product development, working in close partnership with clinical, regulatory, marketing, and sales teams.

3. Partners with HEOR to assess global evidence needs and support development of payer-relevant data.

4. Analyzes reimbursement landscapes and contributes to coding, coverage, and payment pathway development including evaluation of relevant data analytics pertaining to health policy initiatives.

5. Educates internal leaders and field teams on reimbursement requirements and business impact.

6. Builds and maintains relationships with payers, government agencies, professional societies, and advocacy groups.

7. Identifies reimbursement barriers, develops initiatives, and supports implementation of programs that improve market access.

8. Designs and delivers reimbursement education for internal and external stakeholders.

9. Represents, as a leader, the expertise and perspective of the Reimbursement/Market Access function to the business divisions it supports.

10. Performs other duties, as required.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 12 years of experience in reimbursement, market access, or health policy.
  • Strong understanding of U.S. coverage, coding, and payment systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to support reimbursement strategy in a matrixed environment.
  • Proficiency with standard business applications.
  • CPC or similar credential preferred.
