Full Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:

The Strategic Regional Accounts Manager supports TRAC's commercial efforts with day-to-day account management, new business development, and expansion of our suite of services specifically focused on the Motor Carrier community. This role will have a combination of regional account management while supporting a book of national / strategic accounts.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Account Management
    • Maintain consistent contact with assigned accounts.
    • Develop rapport and an understanding of unique customer requirements.
    • Document interactions, requests, resolutions, etc. to create a clear and concise customer history.
    • Cross train with other members of the team and function as backup when required.
  • New business development within an assigned geographic territory. Growth expectations will be from current customers, lost customers, and new TRAC customers.
  • Inform key accounts of chassis use imbalances, potential associated fees and maintain documentation to correct imbalances. The successful candidate will utilize and refine existing procedural documents.
  • Research recurring customer disputes and perform root cause analysis to prevent recurrence.
  • Compile and issue daily, weekly, and monthly reporting as required.
  • Continued growth of TRAC's presence with regional Motor Carrier and Marine Associations (i.e. local Traffic Clubs, Port Associations, etc.)
  • Update Salesforce Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Business, Marketing, or related field
  • 5 - 7 years' experience in a regional or national account role within supply chain industry. Preference will be to those with experience selling transportation and or intermodal solutions.
  • Analytical thinker with a passion for problem resolution, process improvement and excellent customer service.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills are required.
  • Persistence, focus, and attention to details.
  • Results-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills, including effective writing and verbal skills.
  • Motivated self-starter, able to work with limited supervision.
  • Superior problem solving and decision-making skills.
  • Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint) and experience with Salesforce
  • Flexibility to quickly adapt to change.
  • Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Must work well in a team-oriented, dynamic environment and be able to recommend and implement process improvements, while also able to work independently, prioritize workload and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
