Full Job Description

This is where you and your skills come in. We’re currently looking for a high-ownership Strategic Procurement Manager to lead our end-to-end procurement lifecycle. You will serve as the critical link between internal business requesters and external vendors, ensuring every dollar spent is optimized and every contract is sound. You aren't just a negotiator; you are a project manager and a diplomat who navigates the needs of Legal, stakeholders and FP&A to deliver best-in-class results. We need a procurement generalist with a "value-hunter" mindset who can dive into any contract, across any category, and extract better terms and higher savings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • End-to-End Ownership: Own the full "Intake-to-Contract" process. Act as the primary point of contact for internal requesters, guiding them from the initial request through vendor selection, negotiation, and final execution.

  • Aggressive Cost Optimization: Treat every contract as an opportunity to save. Challenge historical spend, negotiate aggressive discounts, and ensure we are hitting or exceeding annual savings targets.

  • Stakeholder Diplomacy: Act as the "Internal Consultant" to align the priorities of FP&A (budget adherence), Legal (risk mitigation), and IT (security/integration) while ensuring the business requester’s needs are met.

  • Contractual Scrutiny: Serve as a generalist capable of picking apart various contract types. You must be able to identify "red flag" terms, hidden fees, and unfavorable renewal clauses across multiple categories.

  • Multi-Project Execution: Simultaneously manage a high volume of active contracts and renewals at different stages of the lifecycle without losing momentum or attention to detail.

  • Vendor Stewardship: Manage the external vendor relationship through the negotiation phase, ensuring our company is positioned as a "customer of choice" while maintaining high standards for vendor performance.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Generalist Procurement Experience: 3+ years in a procurement or strategic sourcing role with a proven ability to manage diverse spend categories (Software, Marketing, Professional Services, etc.).

  • High Sense of Ownership: A track record of taking initiative and seeing complex projects through to completion with minimal supervision.

  • Contractual Literacy: Basic experience with contractual terms and the ability to partner effectively with Legal to refine T&Cs, SLAs, and MSAs.

  • Systems Knowledge: Experience with procurement workflows; knowledge of NetSuite and DocuSign is a strong plus.

  • AI Proficiency:A great plus: Demonstrable experience using AI tools to summarize contracts, analyze spend data, or streamline procurement workflows.

  • Communication: Exceptional ability to "speak the language" of different departments—translating technical IT needs into financial terms for FP&A or risk terms for Legal.

Preferred:

  • Experience in a fast-paced environment where you must pivot between tactical execution (getting a signature today) and strategic improvement (saving 20% tomorrow).

  • Strong background in "value-based" negotiation—looking beyond just the price tag to optimize the total business impact.

What we offer:

  • Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, disability, life insurance

  • Health Savings Account (HSA), Flexible Spending Account (FSAs) and Commuter benefits

  • 401K match and ESPP

  • Paid time off and paid sick leave

  • Paid parental and pregnancy leave

  • Family-forming benefits (IVF, Preservation, Adoption etc.)

  • Emergency backup care (Child/Adult/Pets)

  • Employee Assistance Program (EAP) with counseling sessions available 24/7

  • Free legal services that provide legal advice, document creation and estate planning

  • Employee bonus referral program

  • Student loan refinancing assistance

  • Employee perks and discounts program
