Position Description:

CGI Federal is seeking a Strategic Planner to support a multidisciplinary team in delivering mission-critical capabilities, strengthening governance, and driving innovation for a federal client. The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with experience planning and coordinating a broad range of government projects, including developing POA&Ms and supporting key program initiatives.

This position is located in one of CGI Federal's offices in Fairfax, VA, Lebanon, VA, Lafayette, LA or Knoxville, TN; however, a hybrid working model is acceptable. You will be required to work in a CGI Federal office two days per week.

Your future duties and responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain strategic plans to guide program execution and mission objectives.
• Align strategic planning efforts with client goals, organizational priorities, and evolving operational needs.
• Collaborate with Project Leads, Business Analysts, and SMEs to ensure coordinated execution across program timelines.
• Support development of POA&Ms for client initiatives.
• Prepare executive-level briefings, decision memos, and strategic materials.
• Ensure strategic plans incorporate technical, operational, and budget considerations.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
• Due to the nature of the government contract requirements and/or clearance requirements, US citizenship is required as well as successful passing of CGI background check prior to beginning work. In addition, candidates must have ability to obtain and maintain a DHS/CISA EOD/Public Trust clearance.
• Experience in strategic planning and roadmap development.
• Background in lifecycle maintenance or systems sustainment.
• Ability to analyze business processes and operational workflows.
• Ability to work with government stakeholders and translate mission needs into actionable plans.
• Proficiency with project planning methodologies and formal planning frameworks.
• Ability to produce structured roadmaps, POA&Ms, and high-quality documentation.
• Strong communication and cross-team collaboration skills.
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple concurrent tasks.

Desired Qualifications:
• Project Management Professional (PMP).
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Scrum Fundamentals Certified (SFC).

The determination of this range includes various factors not limited to skill set, level, experience, relevant training, and licensure and certifications. To support the ability to reward for merit based performance, CGI typically does not hire individuals at or near the top of the range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this role in the U.S. is $79,600.00 $194,000.00.
