This position is located on-site at our mine in Lovelock, NV.The Senior Maintenance Planner leads site-wide planning and scheduling across mobile, electrical and fixed plant maintenance. The role establishes planning standards, mentors' planners, maintains CMMS data and oversees job plan quality, shutdown planning, long-range budgets and performance reporting. This position works closely with Maintenance, Reliability, Operations and Supply Chain.
Job Responsibilities:- Work Management Leadership
- Lead the site work management process from work identification through close-out.
- Establish planning standards and review job plans and schedules for quality and accuracy.
- Mentor Maintenance Planners and serve as the CMMS expert, providing SAP guidance and training.
- Planning & Scheduling
- Develop weekly, monthly and long-range schedules aligned with production priorities and workforce capacity.
- Lead shutdown, outage and capital maintenance planning, including scope, resources, contractors and critical-path schedules.
- Identify and resolve constraints affecting work readiness and execution.
- Reliability & Reporting
- Report on schedule compliance, planned versus unplanned work, backlog health and estimate accuracy.
- Work with Reliability Engineering to improve maintenance strategies, PM programs and equipment performance.
- Materials & Contractors
- Ensure required parts, materials and tools are ordered and staged before work begins.
- Coordinate requisitions, lead times and spare-parts availability with Procurement, suppliers and contractors.
- Safety & Collaboration
- Ensure job plans meet MSHA and site HSE requirements, including permits, risk assessments and isolations.
- Lead planning meetings, communicate schedule changes and incorporate feedback from Operations, supervisors and trades personnel.
Qualifications:- Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical diploma, trade qualification or degree in a maintenance-related field preferred.
- CMRP, CPMM or similar maintenance certification is an asset.
- Experience
- 7+ years of industrial maintenance experience, including 3+ years in maintenance planning.
- Experience planning major shutdowns or outages in mining or heavy industry.
- Experience leading or mentoring planners or trades personnel.
- Greenfield start-up, system implementation or union experience is an asset.
- Skills & Abilities
- Advanced knowledge of SAP PM or a comparable EAM, including master data, task lists and maintenance plans.
- Strong scheduling skills, including critical-path development using MS Project or Primavera.
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance across mobile and fixed plant equipment.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals and maintenance procedures.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication, organization and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to build and use Gantt charts for scheduling, planning and scheduling experience
- Understanding of applicable MSHA, safety and environmental requirements.
The pay range for this role is:
115,000 - 130,000 USD per year (US)
