Strategic Event Coordinator

The Opportunity:

The key to an organization’s growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As an event planning and communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization’s reputation. We’re looking for an experienced events and communications specialist like you who is ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day.

In this role, you'll be dual-hatted as an events coordinator and communications specialist for an Intelligence Community client. As the events coordinator, you'll take charge of planning and executing a variety of professional events, including all hands, town hall meetings, information exchanges, and more. As the communications specialist, you'll be responsible for creating compelling communications materials for a variety of audiences, including technical subject-matter experts and senior leadership. You'll write, edit, and develop a range of content, including informational articles, executive talking points and briefings, web copy, workforce announcements, good news stories, and more. In all elements of the job, you'll apply your mindset and creative thinking to make recommendations to the client designed to elevate their mission and improve outcomes.

You Have: 

  • 5+ years of experience working in a professional environment
  • Experience with strategic coordination for events
  • Experience with communications planning, and writing and editing professional documents
  • Experience communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including executive leadership
  • Ability to display creativity, sound judgment, and effective decision-making when creating communications materials for a varied customer base
  • Ability to adapt writing styles to various audiences and formats
  • Ability to recommend process improvements
  • Ability to work with senior leaders and respond to changing priorities
  • TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph
  • HS diploma or GED

Nice If You Have: 

  • Experience planning events from concept development to logistics, to day-of execution
  • Experience with marketing communications and customer outreach
  • Experience developing and implementing strategic communications plans
  • Knowledge of client communications vehicles and channels
  • Knowledge of content management systems and best practices
  • Bachelor's degree preferred;Master's degree a plus

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
