Strategic Communications Specialist
The Opportunity:

Key to an organization's growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help promote an organization's desired reputation. We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Strategic Communications Specialist to develop, produce, and maintain high-quality communication materials across the enterprise. You will serve as the primary engine for executing our broader communication strategies. Your focus will be on translating complex technical directives into engaging visual and written content, bringing the stories, use cases, and tangible benefits of our AI products, services, and governance policies to life.

What You'll Work On:
  • Draft, design, and produce a wide variety of marketing materials, high-impact leadership presentations, executive briefings, infographics, email messaging, and promotional content.
  • Write, edit, and maintain engaging content for internal program websites, SharePoint portals, and central knowledge management sites, ensuring technical information remains accessible and accurate.
  • Source and craft compelling narratives, case studies, and success stories that highlight the practical uses and operational benefits of AI tools across the agency.
  • Break down complex AI policies, technical standards, and governance frameworks into clear, easy-to-digest updates and compliance guidelines for various audiences.
  • Package and deliver finalized communications assets across established channels, monitoring engagement to ensure critical info reaches software development teams and enterprise stakeholders effectively.


You Have:
  • 5+ years of experience performing strategic communications and change management (CM) functions in a professional work environment
  • 3+ years of experience with SharePoint, including content development and site management
  • Experience developing communication and CM strategies and plans
  • Experience using digital tools such as CRM systems, AI, or LLMs to execute communications and CM initiatives
  • Experience with solution monitoring and analytic tools and communicating a story around product and program metrics
  • Experience supporting Agile teams, website development, or digital transformation projects
  • Experience working with executive-level clients
  • Ability to draft, edit, and refine a wide variety of written communication products using correct grammar and style for different audiences
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or Suitability/Fitness determination based on client requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, or Public Relations


Nice If You Have:
  • Knowledge of Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), and Large Language Model (LLM) concepts to seamlessly interface with data scientists and engineers

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $77,600.00 to $176,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees. This posting will close within 90 days from the Posting Date.
