Strategic Communication Outreach SpecialistLevel: Senior | Work Location: Hybrid - McLean, VA⚠ This position is contingent upon contract award.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Develop and execute comprehensive outreach strategies and promotional campaigns across multiple audiences and channels
- Lead marketing efforts to grow magazine subscriptions and digital readership, including quarterly promotions and author feature coordination
- Create written and visual content for social media, web pages, and electronic newsletters
- Conduct market research and reader surveys to refine outreach strategies and measure campaign effectiveness using analytics
- Provide staffing and marketing support for tradeshows, conferences, and outreach events
- Translate complex technical and policy information into compelling narratives for technical and general audiences
- Support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Journalism, or related field
- 6-10 years of progressively responsible experience in strategic communications, digital marketing, and public affairs
- Demonstrated track record developing social media campaigns that measurably grow subscriptions or readership
- Federal environment experience and familiarity with transportation research (highway/surface transportation) preferred
- Ability to obtain a USDOT Personal Identity Verification (PIV) credential
