InterSystems Public Sector Corporation (IPSC) is seeking a Strategic Client Executive to join its State Government sales organization. This role is designed for professionals with experience in state government, public policy, legislative affairs, political campaigns, government relations, healthcare administration, or related fields who are interested in building a long-term fulfilling career in enterprise technology sales.
Working alongside experienced professionals, Sales Engineers, and executive leadership, the Strategic Client Executive will learn how to identify opportunities, develop executive relationships, and position InterSystems' technology solutions to address the healthcare modernization priorities of state governments.
This position is ideal for individuals who understand how state government works and possess strong communication, relationship-building, and strategic thinking skills but may have limited enterprise software sales experience.
Primary Responsibilities
- Develop and execute account strategies across assigned state government accounts.
- Research legislative, regulatory, and funding initiatives to identify emerging business opportunities.
- Build relationships with state agency staff, legislative offices, governors' offices, healthcare associations, and other key stakeholders.
- Attend customer meetings, conferences, association events, and executive briefings to increase InterSystems' visibility within assigned territories.
- Assist in developing account plans, stakeholder maps, opportunity strategies, and executive engagement plans.
- Coordinate internal resources to support customer pursuits, including Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, and Executive Leadership.
- Learn or advance knowledge in state procurement processes, budgeting cycles, and public-sector funding mechanisms.
- Support proposal development, customer presentations, and business development campaigns.
- Maintain accurate customer information and opportunity tracking within tracking system.
- Participate in a structured professional development program.
Requirements- 2+ years of professional experience in state government, executive branch, legislature, public policy, political campaigns, government affairs, business development, consulting, or a related field.
- Demonstrated understanding of state government operations, political and policy environments, and the roles of executive agencies, legislative bodies, and key public-sector stakeholders.
- Strong relationship-building, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrated interest in developing a career in enterprise technology sales and a willingness to complete structured sales, healthcare industry, and InterSystems technology training.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.

InterSystems is providing a current good faith estimate of the anticipated base salary range for this position depending on a variety of factors including experience, education, skills, and performance.
Other compensation may include a discretionary annual variable target incentive.

This position may be eligible for sales incentives based on certain sales goals, achievements, and results. While sales incentives, if any, vary they generally will result in payment of 25% to 75% of base pay, assuming on-target achievement.
The estimated base compensation range for this role is:
$70,000-$110,000 USD
