Position Description: The Strategic Business Planner - Canada works closely with the Canadian senior leadership team to support strategic planning, business performance, executive reporting and key national initiatives. The role ensures alignment on priorities across business units and corporate functions, turning business information into clear insight and coordinated action.
This highly collaborative role combines business analysis with coordination and executive-level communication. The successful candidate will consolidate information from business units, analyze business performance and help transform complex information into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership.
Your future duties and responsibilities:• Support the development, coordination and monitoring of annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly business planning and performance activities across Canada, ensuring alignment with Canadian and CGI priorities.
• Analyze financial and operational performance, KPIs, sales pipeline information and strategic commitments to identify trends, risks, opportunities and areas requiring management attention.
• Use enterprise business intelligence tools, dashboards and reporting environments to extract, validate, interpret and communicate business performance insights.
• Consolidate information from Canadian business units and transform it into clear, concise and decision-oriented executive reporting.
• Prepare executive-ready PowerPoint presentations, dashboards and management materials for leadership meetings, business reviews and strategic planning sessions.
• Support senior leadership meetings by coordinating content, preparing materials, documenting key actions and ensuring appropriate follow-up.
• Work closely with Business Unit Planners across Canada to align planning, reporting and performance-management activities.
• Coordinate Canada-wide strategic programs and initiatives and help ensure commitments and deliverables remain on track.
• Proactively engage stakeholders across the organization to obtain information, resolve issues and advance priorities.
• Identify opportunities to improve and simplify reporting, planning and coordination processes through technology, automation and AI-assisted productivity tools.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:• University degree in business, finance, economics, management or a related field.
• Relevant experience in business planning, finance, operations, analysis, consulting, project management or a similar environment.
• Strong financial literacy and business acumen, with the ability to understand financial and operational information.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint and Excel.
• Ability to collect and synthesize complex information and communicate it clearly and concisely to senior stakeholders.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with senior executives and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Demonstrated autonomy, initiative and ability to proactively seek information and move priorities forward.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage changing requirements, multiple priorities and tight deadlines.
• Bilingualism in French and English is required.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $75,000-$125,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
