As a Strategic Advisor, you will analyze the business environment, develop future scenarios, and formulate recommendations to support executive decision-making and contribute to the evolution of corporate strategy.

As a trusted advisor to the Strategy and Performance leadership team and the Executive Committee, you will bring an independent, structured, and constructive perspective to key strategic priorities. What You'll Accomplish With Us

As a Strategic Advisor, you will be at the heart of our mission. Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Assessing the organization's competitive position through diagnostics, benchmarking analyses, and market research, then identifying gaps, challenges, and strategic options for executive leadership.
  • Maintaining ongoing monitoring of markets, competitors, consumers, technologies, regulatory developments, and emerging trends to identify changes and dynamics that may impact the organization.
  • Developing strategic hypotheses and future scenarios, assessing their implications, and presenting options that clearly outline trade-offs, benefits, risks, and success factors.
  • Formulating and prioritizing recommendations related to growth, differentiation, innovation, and value creation, considering potential impact, risks, feasibility, and strategic alignment.
  • Contributing to the development, refinement, and integration of strategic priorities into the planning cycle, while supporting stakeholder understanding and adoption.
  • Producing decision-support analyses, monitoring strategic priorities and performance indicators, and communicating findings, risks, interdependencies, and recommended adjustments.
  • Leading or supporting cross-functional strategic initiatives, planning activities, retreats, and strategic workshops by mobilizing stakeholders and preparing briefing notes, executive summaries, and presentation materials.

We're looking for someone who:
  • Holds a university degree in Business Administration, Strategy, Economics, Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Has a minimum of 10 years of experience in corporate strategy, strategic planning, management consulting, or executive advisory roles.
  • Demonstrates exceptional analytical, research, synthesis, modelling, and financial analysis skills, enabling the structuring of complex issues and the development of compelling recommendations.
  • Stands out for their autonomy, initiative, creativity, rigor, sound judgment, strategic mindset, intellectual curiosity, and strong business acumen.
  • Possesses excellent communication, facilitation, executive presentation, and influence skills, along with advanced proficiency in French.
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment that requires agility and strong prioritization skills while managing multiple complex mandates simultaneously.
  • Has knowledge of the property and casualty insurance industry, which is considered a strong asset.
  • Advanced proficiency in French and intermediate proficiency in English are required, as the successful candidate will be expected to participate in numerous discussions and read and draft documents in English on a daily basis with teams across Canada.
