Job Summary

Carlisle is seeking a Manager, Strategic Accounts to lead and grow our National General Contractor and Design-Build Contractor strategy across Strategic Accounts. This remote, U.S.-based role owns and expands Carlisle's position with key general contractors, design-build firms, developers, and builders, while partnering closely across a vertically aligned commercial team and external partners. This is a high-impact role with direct responsibility for shaping how Carlisle engages, wins, and scales within the general contractor and design-build construction vertical. Travel is expected to be extensive (approximately 70%). Standard business hours are Monday-Friday, with flexibility as needed to support customers and internal stakeholders.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Lead strategic account growth within the General Contractor / Design-Build vertical, owning key national and enterprise-level relationships.
  • Develop and execute vertical-specific sales and account strategies aligned with market demand, customer priorities, and Carlisle's long-term growth objectives.
  • Build and expand executive-level relationships with General Contractors, Design-Build Principals, and Preconstruction leaders, while cultivating supporting relationships with Owners, Developers, Architects, and Engineers.
  • Partner cross-functionally across a vertically aligned commercial team, including Strategic Account Managers, technical specialists, and external partners.
  • Drive alignment across Sales, Product, Technical Services, Marketing, Operations, and Leadership to deliver a coordinated customer experience.
  • Serve as the internal advocate for the General Contractor / Design-Build vertical by bringing market intelligence, customer insight, and strategic perspective into the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Required Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
  • Strong negotiating, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, including executive-level presentations.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard business tools.
  • Knowledge of roofing systems, roofing practices, and roofing contractor organizations.
  • Working knowledge of the construction industry, including competitive bidding and specification-driven sales.
  • Proven ability to lead through strategy, influence, and execution.

Education and Experience:
  • Required:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field
      • In lieu of degree, high school diploma with 12+ years of experience.
    • 7 to 10 years of experience in strategic sales or account leadership within the construction or roofing industry.
    • Senior-level experience in strategic sales, national accounts, or account leadership.
    • Strong background in construction, building products, or roofing, with experience in complex, multi-stakeholder sales environments.
    • Demonstrated success building relationships with owners, specifiers, and executive decision-makers.
    • Willingness and ability to travel extensively (approximately 70%).
  • Preferred:
    • Experience working directly with general contractors and design-build firms on commercial or industrial construction projects.
    • Experience with design-build delivery models, pre-construction collaboration, and integrated project teams.

Working Conditions:
  • This is a fully remote position. The incumbent is expected to maintain a dedicated, secure, and ergonomically appropriate home office environment with reliable high-speed internet connectivity. The role requires the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining regular communication with colleagues and stakeholders via virtual collaboration tools.
  • The position typically operates during standard business hours of Monday - Friday (8am - 5pm), with occasional flexibility required to accommodate meetings across time zones or critical business needs. The employee is expected to comply with all company policies related to data security, confidentiality, and remote work standards.
  • Travel estimated at approximately 70%.
