The Position
The Strategic Account Manager plays a crucial role in the Company's mission to transform lives through innovative treatments in immuno-dermatology. Reporting to the Western Regional Account Director, this position is responsible for developing and executing strategic business plans that align with the organization's sales objectives while adhering to all regulatory and compliance standards. The Strategic Account Manager will engage in daily consultations with prescribers and key office personnel, ensuring a deep understanding of the prescribing platforms utilized within these offices. This role requires expertise in formulary requirements and the ability to educate others on these critical aspects. In addition to direct consultations, the Strategic Account Manager will regularly analyze sales data to create impactful plans that drive performance. Effective management of promotional budget funds is essential, as is collaboration with sales representatives and leaders within the assigned geography. The role also involves daily interactions with pharmacies to ensure the appropriate application of patient access resources, as well as educating prescribers and their staff on the resources available to optimize access to Dermavant's product portfolio. Building and maintaining strong relationships with healthcare professionals (HCPs) and pharmacies is a key responsibility, as is sharing best practices and proactive communication with peers. Participation in company-sponsored events and meetings is also expected, contributing to the overall success of the organization and its mission to improve the lives of those with chronic skin conditions.
This territory covers all of Michigan and Ohio. The selected candidate must reside within the territory.
Responsibilities
Implement strategic business plans to meet or exceed sales objectives while in accordance with all applicable company and regulatory standards.
Provide in-person consultation to multiple prescribers and key office personnel on a daily basis.
Develop a deep understanding of prescribing platforms utilized within prescribing offices.
Educate others on formulary requirements and ensure compliance.
Regularly review, analyze, and utilize sales data to create and implement impactful plans.
Deploy and manage promotional budget funds effectively and efficiently.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales representatives and leaders within the assigned geography.
Engage in daily collaboration with pharmacies on the appropriate application of patient access resources.
Educate prescribers and staff on key resources available to optimize access to the product portfolio.
Develop, cultivate, and maintain strong working relationships with key HCPs and pharmacies.
Share best practices and proactively communicate with peers.
Participate in company-sponsored events and meetings.
Required Education, Experience and Skills
Bachelor's degree required.
Minimum of five years of pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical sales experience; experience in the Dermatology market strongly preferred.
Experience operating in patient access or reimbursement capacity strongly preferred.
Strong teamwork and ability to work cross-functionally across multiple business partners.
Relationships with pharmacies in the respective geography strongly preferred.
Ability to understand, comprehend, and communicate requirements of regional and national payers to peers and customers.
Understanding of EMR/e-scribing systems.
Experience educating entire office on drug manufacturer copay programs.
Proven ability and success in developing physician, pharmacy, and key customer relationships.
Preferred Education, Experience and Skills
Master's degree or other advanced education/certifications a plus.
Experience in a fast-paced, quickly changing business environment.

Ability to manage multiple programs with competing timelines and prioritize activities.

Final salary determinations take a number of factors into account including, but not limited to, primary work location, relevant skills, education level, and/or prior work experience. The applicable salary range for this position in the U.S. is stated below. Benefits offered in the U.S. include a retirement savings plan, paid vacation and holiday time, paid caregiver/parental and medical leave, and health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans.
Annualized Salary Range (US)
