Full Job Description
The Work You'll Do:

As a Strategic Account Executive at Sovos, you'll work with an international team to sell solutions to a problem customers genuinely can't afford to ignore. Our customers need what you sell to keep their business compliant around the world - this isn't a nice-to-have. You'll be joining the sales organization for the market leader in cloud tax software, trusted by half of the Fortune 500 and the world's best companies.

More specifically, you will:
  • Generate new business opportunities while managing internal resources and running full sales cycles from initial contact through close, upsell, and cross-sell
  • Develop and execute an account-based commercial strategy to grow sales opportunities and retain customers
  • Build and nurture executive and C-Suite relationships with clients
  • Deliver profitable new business revenue growth in your assigned territory while meeting and exceeding revenue targets and quotas
  • Grow and manage a balanced pipeline, driving consistent new business revenue across your territory
  • Build a year-over-year track record of consistent performance using multiple sales approaches and managing complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Leverage AI tools to sharpen prospecting, accelerate pipeline analysis, and surface insights that drive faster, smarter sales decisions
  • Maintain in-depth knowledge of the tax compliance industry and the evolving competitive landscape
  • Provide timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports to support leadership's strategic decision-making

What We Need From You
  • 10+ years of proven success selling SaaS-based or software solutions to large multinational organizations, with demonstrated ability to manage complex sales cycles
  • Proven targeting, prospecting, and closing skills with a track record of meeting or exceeding revenue quotas
  • Ability to present and engage confidently at the C-Suite level
  • Highly analytical approach to defining client outcomes and articulating value - you use facts and data to tell a story that leads to sales
  • Proven ability to create energy and alignment in a highly matrixed team environment
  • Comfortable using AI-powered tools to enhance forecasting, account research, and customer engagement
  • Ability to travel for client and prospect meetings, trade shows, and sales team events
  • Due to client contractual obligations, the successful candidate will be asked to clear a background check and drug test upon hire
