Schneider Electric Federal has an amazing opportunity for a highly talented, motivated, solution-minded individual on the Federal Strategic Accounts team. This individual is expected to represent and grow the overall Schneider Electric relationship with Federal Agencies, specifically the Department of the Navy and other federal agencies that may be assigned. This person will create and execute the overall account strategy with responsibility for the complete portfolio of Schneider Electric Energy Management, Industrial Automation and Digital Solutions. This position will report to the manager of Federal Strategic Accounts. The successful candidate must be extremely motivated, strategic, and entrepreneurial minded to aggressively grow the Schneider Electric Federal business with the Federal Agencies assigned.
Specific Responsibilities - Account Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Business Development, Opportunity Management and Federal Account Leadership
Customer Relationship Management
• Understand the assigned federal agencies' dynamic environment to position Schneider Electric Federal as a valued, long-term strategic partner
• Establish and strengthen trusted relationships with senior executives, headquarters leadership, regional organizations, and key stakeholders across the federal agency to understand mission priorities, uncover customer challenges, and identify end-user requirements that drive solution development and growth opportunities.
• Articulate Schneider Electric Federal's digital value proposition for differentiation and alignment to meet the federal agency requirements
Account Planning
• Develop, communicate, and execute the Global Strategic Account plan for each assigned federal agency
• Apply a high level of business acumen, including an understanding of the federal agencies' business and budget drivers, policy, industry trends and competitive landscape
• Develop and sustain detailed knowledge of Schneider Electric Federal's installed base and emerging solution offerings within the federal agency to identify opportunities that align with the agency's long-term strategic initiatives and customer requirements.
• Provide feedback and direction to the Schneider Electric Business Unit and Product Groups on market developments, specific opportunities and requirements, and barriers for fully integrated solutions
Business Development and Opportunity Management
• Identify and develop new broad program level opportunities
• Review and understand the federal agency's budget and identify key areas of funding for facility infrastructure modernization
• Develop new business opportunities by leveraging customer knowledge to understand critical customer needs
• Strong ability to leverage CRM tools (Salesforce) to manage and drive a mixed portfolio of business pipeline
• Solid understanding of federal contracting and contract vehicles, including federal agency's specific contracts
• Federal Agency Account Leadership
• Coach, facilitate and lead complex solutions capture initiatives
• Align and lead internal resources in a matrix organization
• Develop strong win strategies to capture major opportunities
• Assist field sales organization to secure product, services, and business solutions sales
Qualifications

This job might be for you if you are a U.S. citizen, and:
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, preferably in Engineering/Business discipline; MBA strongly preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with the federal agency or have successful sales experience selling solutions to the federal agency.
• 5 years of proven strategic account management, sales and/or business development experience.
• A strong understanding of Electrification (microgrid, distributed generation, renewable energy).
• Experience with digital solutions, including software applications related to energy.
• Strong business acumen with a strategic mindset.
• Proven ability to work in a matrix team environment, influence and motivate.
• Strong analytical, executive communication and leadership skills.
• C-Level sales experience with executive presence.
• The ability to travel in the US.
Preferred location is Washington DC metro area. In lieu of these locations, any large U.S. metro city location with a major airport is acceptable to allow easy air travel.

For this U.S. based position, the expected pay range is USD 161,600 - USD 242,400 per year. This pay range includes base pay and short-term incentives. The compensation range for this full-time position applies to candidates located within the United States. Our pay ranges are determined by reviewing roles of similar responsibility and level. Within the pay range, individual pay is determined by several factors including performance, knowledge, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
