BAM has a global, multi-petabyte storage system across public cloud and on-prem sites. We are looking for an experienced storage engineer to join the team and help us with data lifecycle, capacity management, data classification and infrastructure as code. This role offers the opportunity to work directly with Portfolio Managers and other business stakeholders to understand their needs and enable them to efficiently use our storage platforms.
As Storage Engineer at BAM, you will:- Handle block, file and object storage platforms on-prem and in the public cloud.
- Further our automation efforts around storage provisioning and data lifecycle.
- Create robust monitors around performance, capacity and efficiency.
- Define acceptable use patterns for each storage system, guide teams towards these patterns and hold teams accountable to misuse.
- Engineer tools and automation for routine disaster recovery tests across all storage platforms.
- Partner with application developers across the firm and enable their success.
- Participate in on-call rotation and maintenance.

To be considered a good technical fit, you must have: - 6+ years, hands-on experience with large-scale storage environments.
- Experience with software low latency environments.
- Strong understanding of storage protocols and nuances across operating systems
- Comfortable writing Python.
- Experience with disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
