Summary

HII-Mission Technologies is seeking a Site Lead to provide on-site leadership, operational oversight, and program coordination in support of U.S. Special Operations Command (SOCOM). In this role, you will oversee day-to-day site operations, ensure effective mission execution, manage personnel, and maintain strong engagement with government stakeholders. The Site Lead serves as the primary interface between SOCOM customers, contractor teams, and HII leadership, ensuring all activities align with DoD, SOCOM, and corporate policies, standards, and mission objectives.

This position may be located at multiple sites, including but not limited to: Tampa, FL; MacDill AFB; Doral, FL; Mayport, FL; Keyport, WA; or Washington, DC.

What You Will Do

  • Serve as the primary on-site point of contact for SOCOM stakeholders, government representatives, and contractor teams.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure all tasks, deliverables, and mission support activities are executed effectively and on schedule.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and supervision to assigned contractor personnel, including performance management and task prioritization.
  • Coordinate with headquarters, program management, and government leadership to align site operations with overall program objectives.
  • Monitor work performance, ensure compliance with SOCOM and DoD policies, and maintain adherence to all contractual requirements.
  • Support planning, scheduling, and resource allocation for mission-critical activities and operational requirements.
  • Prepare and deliver reports, briefings, and updates to government and corporate leadership as required.
  • Ensure proper integration and coordination of engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, training, and operational support functions.
  • Identify risks, issues, and areas for improvement; recommend and implement corrective actions.
  • Facilitate communication among cross-functional teams and maintain strong working relationships with SOCOM mission partners.
  • Ensure site operations comply with all applicable security, safety, and personnel requirements.
  • Support milestone events, testing activities, fielding efforts, and operational readiness reviews.


What We Are Looking For

  • 6 years relevant progressive experience with Bachelors in related field; 4 years relevant progressive experience with Masters in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 10 years relevant progressive experience.
  • Experience supporting SOCOM, DoD programs, or other federal defense mission sets in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage personnel, coordinate daily operations, and interface directly with government stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of DoD policies, procedures, and standards relevant to operations, mission support, and site management.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, schedules, and mission requirements.
  • Experience preparing reports, briefs, and documentation for government audiences.
  • Proven ability to identify operational issues and implement solutions effectively.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to work across diverse technical and operational teams.
  • Ability to enforce security, safety, and compliance requirements consistent with DoD guidelines.
  • Clearance: Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance.


Preferred: Bonus Points For...

  • Clearance: Possess and maintains a Top Secret clearance.
  • Prior experience leading teams supporting special operations forces or high-priority DoD missions.
  • Familiarity with program management processes, lifecycle support activities, and government contracting requirements.
  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams across engineering, logistics, cybersecurity, or operations functions.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP, DAWIA, or leadership-focused credentials.
  • Experience supporting fielding events, operational exercises, or readiness activities.
