Position Summary:

The Workers’ Compensation Statistical Reporting Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of Workers’ Compensation data to regulatory agencies, rating bureaus, and industry data collection organizations. This role supports all Arch business divisions by managing financial data calls, Unit Statistical Reporting (USR), Medical Data Calls (MDC), and Indemnity Data Calls (IDC), while partnering with cross-functional teams to resolve data quality issues and maintain compliance with reporting requirements.

Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

• Responsible for creating all necessary documentation to support aggregate financial and state-specific Workers’ Compensation (WC) data call reporting for all of Arch’s business divisions.
• Assist in the resolution of Medical Data Call (MDC) and Indemnity Data Call (IDC) inquiries received from the various data collection organizations.
• Assist in the resolution of Unit Statistical Reports (USR) bureau criticisms or other external inquiries. Work with staff to remedy any systemic data anomalies.
• Assist in the fulfillment of WC surcharge and assessment payment obligations.
• Create or enhance process documentation at an individual report level to ensure a seamless transition to new workflows upon account renewal on to Arch policies.
• Partner with neighboring departments such as Claims Data Quality and IT to address data issues that impact our ability to report data to regulators in a timely and accurate manner.

Required Skills and Abilities:

• Must have a strong knowledge of the Workers Compensation line of business.
• Firm understanding of the various bureaus9 USR and financial data call requirements.
• Intermediate to advanced competency skills with MS Office, including SQL, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Education and Experience:

• A minimum of three to five years of experience in a Statistical Reporting unit, reporting on Workers Compensation experience via USR, Data Calls, MDC and IDC.
• Demonstrated knowledge of WC statistical plans and the various Data Quality Programs.

For individuals assigned or hired to work in the location(s) indicated below, the base salary range is provided. Range is as of the time of posting. Position is incentive eligible.

$66,400 - $99,235/year

• Total individual compensation (base salary, short & long-term incentives) offered will take into account a number of factors including but not limited to geographic location, scope & responsibilities of the role, qualifications, talent availability & specialization as well as business needs. The above pay range may be modified in the future.
