Position Title: In-state Operations Director

Reporting Structure: Reports to the Deputy National Operations Director

Rate of Pay: The salary range for this position is $78,000 to $84,000, depending on experience and skill sets

Job Classification: Full time, exempt
Schedule: Full-time (40 or more hours per week, and can reach 70+ hours at peak times)

Location: On-site - travel required

Role Description

Revolution Field Strategies (RFS) is seeking talented, driven individuals for the role of State Operations Director, who will be responsible for overseeing the operations of canvassing, voter registration, and relational organizing projects throughout the country.

The State Operations Director will work with project leadership and with the RFS National Operations team to manage the program's administrative, operational, human resources, and supply needs.

The State Operations Director will report directly to the Project Director. This role is in-person throughout the duration of an assigned project.

Cycle/Project Based Full Time Position

This position is considered a Full-Time Employee meaning they are expected to work full-time (40 or more hours per week) for a defined period of time, typically the length of the project. However, RFS expects to provide extensive opportunities for successful employees and contractors to continue on with the company throughout the 2026 election season.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the daily and long-term project operations needs, often including multiple offices located throughout a region or state
  • Manage a team of regional, in-office Operations Associates
  • Work with the Project Director and the National Operations team to implement and maintain robust human resources and operations processes for the program
  • Work with the National Operations team to manage project-specific payroll records for all employees through the Paycom platform
  • Ensure an efficient allocation of supplies and resources throughout the program
  • Other duties as assigned

Required Experience, Skills and Abilities
  • 1-3 years of management, operations or administrative experience
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully manage a growing and complex organization's operational needs
  • Exceptional time management and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities
  • Highly detail-oriented and able to manage multiple processes simultaneously
  • Ability to think and act creatively and flexibly in a fast-paced and sometimes high-pressure environment.
  • Ability and willingness to work a demanding schedule, which can reach 70+ hours per week at peak times and can be expected to include evenings and weekends.
  • Must possess a cell phone and laptop
  • Must have ready access to personal transportation and will be required to provide proof of driver's insurance.
  • Must be able to travel and/or relocate to project locations across the country on short notice; travel, lodging, and other related expenses are provided by RFS.
  • Familiarity with Google Suite, ATS, and HRIS software is preferred

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range for this position is $78,000 - $84,000 annually, depending on experience and skill sets. RFS offers all full-time employees who remain with our team for more than three months full health care, dental, and vision benefits.
