Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or Applied Engineering OR Associate's degree with 5+ years manufacturing/controls experience.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment, via co-op/intern or full-time role.
• Proficient in XVL, AutoCAD, and/or Inventor.
• Ability to read electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and tooling prints.
• Skilled in Microsoft Office applications.
• Project management experience.
• Valid motor vehicle record meeting company standards required.

Responsibilities

• Lead improvement activities on laser weld machine, press machine, crane, and scrap system as a controls engineer.
• Manage upgrades and obsolescence of PLCs, drives, and electrical components.
• Track open issues via PFS (Problem Follow Sheet) until resolution.
• Ensure process safety, quality, integrity, and repeatability in manufacturing.
• Improve communication through RJ, WIS, and PMs to maintain change points.
• Collaborate across multifunctional teams including Contractors, Skilled trades, PE, Quality, and Production.
