Full Job Description
General Summary:

This individual leads, plans, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements and performs the complex responsibility of end-to-end system-level testing of Qualcomm WLAN chipsets and software across multiple product verticals. Will own test strategy, execution, defect triage, and automation for one or more functional test horizontals, and collaborate closely with WLAN firmware, host driver, and product teams to ensure high software quality at every milestone. This individual interprets wireless specifications and will lead, define and own test scope, design test plans, scenarios, procedures, synthesizes ambiguous or conflicting requirements and performs the complex responsibility of testing, developing and enhancing test automation scripts using related tools for assigned functional areas (e.g., Functional, Performance, Certification, IOT, Regulatory, Stability). Leads test execution across farm and non-farm environments using internal proprietary automation frameworks. Performs root cause analysis (RCA) on test failures and file/track CRs/JIRAs using a bug tracking system, and report defects to developers. Develops testing programs that assess the effectiveness of a new system or modification of an existing system. Understands basic features of the system, conducts log analyses with team members to identify where an issue has occurred, and document system-level defects to make recommendations on how to address the issue. Collects information (e.g., logs, requirements) and identifies basic patterns/trends related to systems testing. Manages individual project priorities, deadlines, and deliverables with minimal supervision. Determines and prioritizes tasks based on most important for self and junior engineers, avoids distractions, and completes work in a timely manner. Communicates detailed and regular feedback about identified feature issues to software and systems teams. Collaborates with individuals inside their own team and with global teams to complete project work. Resolves straightforward technical issues and escalates to technical leads as necessary. Adapts to significant changes and setbacks to manage pressure and meet deadlines. Gathers, integrates, and interprets information from a variety of sources to troubleshoot issues and find solutions. Contributes to Change-Based Testing (CBT), auto-triage, and zero-touch automation pipelines. Mentors junior engineers and guide test strategy decisions. Acts as a strong contributor at design reviews and project meetings and communicates and implements a development plan.

Will accept a Master's Degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or related degree field.

Pay Range: $177,513.00 - $216,600.00/year
