Full Job Description
EOG's Land Administration department is seeking an experienced oil and gas title professional to join the team as a Staff Title Analyst (Title Resolution & Owner Communications). This role plays a key part in supporting EOG's leasing, operations, and production objectives by managing owner communications and resolving title and interest related inquiries with accuracy, professionalism, and timeliness.

The ideal candidate brings strong experience communicating directly with interest owners regarding title curative, ownership changes, and royalty-related matters, and is comfortable operating in a highly collaborative, detail-driven environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for interest owner inquiries via phone and email related to:
    • Lease terms and payments
    • Net revenue interest calculations
    • Joint interest billing issues
    • Title requirements
    • Interest conveyances
    • Probate and heirship matters
  • Partner closely with division title analysts to ensure timely, accurate, and proactive owner responses aligned with EOG's high standard of owner communication.
  • Communicate clearly with owners to obtain required documentation for ownership changes.
  • Analyze curative and conveyance documents (including deeds, probate, and assignments) to support mineral, royalty, and working interest ownership updates.
  • Utilize multiple internal systems and external resources to research issues and provide accurate resolution guidance.
  • Log inquiries, research, resolutions, and supporting documentation in EOG's workflow applications.
  • Route inquiries to division title analysts for review, further handling, and final ownership updates in the land system.
  • Collaborate effectively with Land, Legal, Accounting, and other internal teams to support company objectives.
  • Perform all duties in compliance with EOG's SOX controls and operational processes, with a strong focus on data integrity.


Job Requirements

Required:
  • 10+ years of experience as a Landman, Division Order Analyst, or in a related oil and gas title role.
  • Strong experience analyzing leases, contracts, title opinions, deeds, assignments, probate documents, and other title curative materials.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Ability to quickly learn and adapt to new computer applications and systems.
  • Proven ability to manage a high-volume workload, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional discretion in handling confidential and proprietary company information.
  • High school diploma or GED required.

Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Experience working title in Texas and other major U.S. oil-producing states.
  • Prior experience working for an operator.
  • Familiarity with federal leasing and unitization.


Position will be filled at a level commensurate with experience.
